The art prints of Emmanuelle Houdart's illustrations are made with the most extreme care, stemming from combined know-how of the photo-engraving and from the art printing, insuring them depiction of the details very close to the original. Originals are scanned in high resolution, the whole graphic chain being carefully calibrated and characterized. The mergers tints, saturation and luminosity are then realized in normalized by comparison with originals and their correspondences are digitized on art graphic screen then on printed paper. These prints are produced under the control of the artist by means of printers with pigmentary ink on art paper pure matt 300gr. This process is the most recent among the numerous evolutions of the print process since Antiquity: the digital print. The prints are realized according to precise rules guaranteeing not only a faithful reproduction but also the sustainability of the work (from 60 to 200 years according to conditions of preservation).
